This exciting maternity cover position is ideal for both experienced teachers and ECTs who are eager to deliver engaging lessons and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Working within a supportive and well-resourced department, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on students' artistic development and confidence.
As Teacher of Art & Design, you will:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring Art & Design lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Encourage creativity through a range of artistic techniques, media and disciplines.
- Plan and deliver imaginative lessons that challenge and motivate learners of all abilities.
- Track, assess and support student progress through effective feedback and assessment.
- Contribute to exhibitions, enrichment activities and wider departmental initiatives.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where all students can flourish.
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards achieving it.
- Has a degree in Art & Design or a related subject.
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for creative education.
- Has strong classroom management skills and high expectations of student achievement.
- Is committed to inclusive teaching and ensuring every learner reaches their potential.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues and contributes positively to the school community.
- Welcoming and supportive secondary school based in Leicester.
