Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Home Assistant to join our team. The role involves supporting individuals in a residential care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need while developing valuable skills within the residential care sector.

Duties

Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Supporting clients with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met
Helping clients adhere to personalised care plans tailored to their individual needs
Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ wellbeing
Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
Ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all clients

Skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic approach
Ability to follow instructions accurately and adhere to care protocols
Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within busy environments
Knowledge of care home procedures or previous experience in a similar setting is advantageous but not essential
