L & L Braines Ltd is a well-established, family-run business specialising in commercial relocations, office furniture installations, and transportation services throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and reliable Driver / Porter / Fitter to join our experienced team on a full-time basis.
This is a varied and hands-on role that offers the opportunity to travel nationwide, learn new skills, and work on a wide range of projects for commercial clients across the country.
About the Role
As a Driver / Porter / Fitter, you will be involved in delivering high-quality relocation, furniture installations, and transportation services. No two days are the same, and full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving company vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, including crew buses
- Carrying out commercial relocations
- Office furniture delivery, assembly, and installation
- Building clearances and disposals
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Manual handling and heavy lifting (training and specialist equipment provided)
- Providing excellent customer service on-site
Essential requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required
Desirable:
- Previous experience in removals
- Previous experience in office furniture installations, or a similar role
- CSCS Card
