Residential Site Manager (Freelance) – High-End Design & BuildAbout Us

Monarchy Building Services is a growing Design & Build company specialising in high-end residential refurbishments, extensions, loft conversions, luxury bathrooms, landscaping projects and bespoke home renovations across Hertfordshire, North London and Surrey.

Due to continued growth and an increasing project pipeline, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of our projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship, enjoys building strong relationships with clients and subcontractors, and thrives in a fast-paced residential construction environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple residential projects from commencement through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the high standards expected by Monarchy Building Services.

You will work closely with the Directors, subcontractors, suppliers and clients to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently whilst maintaining exceptional levels of communication throughout the build process.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations across multiple residential construction projects.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and labour teams.
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed programmes and milestones.
Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and workmanship standards.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements and company procedures.
Liaise directly with clients, architects, structural engineers and building control officers.
Organise material orders, deliveries and site logistics.
Produce regular progress updates and reports for the management team.
Proactively identify and resolve site issues before they impact programme or budget.
Maintain clean, organised and professional construction sites.
Assist with scheduling works and coordinating trades to maximise efficiency.
Support the delivery of an exceptional client experience from start to finish.

Requirements

Proven experience managing residential refurbishment, extension or design & build projects.
Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and sequencing of works.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
Good understanding of health and safety regulations and site compliance.
Ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
Proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
Full UK Driving Licence.

Ideal Candidate
