About FourFront
Founded in 2010, FourFront is a leading independent UK manufacturer of premium commercial washroom dispensers and accessories. Operating from our manufacturing and assembly hub in Preston, we design and build high-quality stainless steel, painted mild steel, and plastic dispensers trusted in corporate headquarters, luxury hotels, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions nationwide.
We pride ourselves on our commitment to sustainability through a circular economy model—providing spare parts and repair solutions to extend product life cycles rather than pushing unnecessary replacements.
Our Core Values
At FourFront, our culture is the foundation of our business. We look for team members who naturally align with our six core company values:
- Supportive: We empower each other to succeed by sharing knowledge and providing genuine guidance.
- Joyful: We bring positivity and energy to everything we do, building lasting workplace relationships.
- Accountable: We take absolute ownership of our commitments and are transparent in how we deliver them.
- Ambitious: We constantly strive to improve, evolve, and find new opportunities for growth.
- Collaborative: We believe in teamwork to achieve shared success.
- Courageous: We embrace innovation and tackle manufacturing and operational challenges with confidence.
The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Product Assembly Technician to join our production team. Working within a highly structured environment, you will be responsible for assembling raw components into finished commercial washroom dispensers. This position requires a blend of hands-on mechanical assembly, rigorous quality checking, and basic interactions with digital inventory/production tracking tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Precision Assembly: Efficiently assemble plastic, mild steel, and stainless steel washroom dispensers according to exact technical specifications and quality standards.
- Quality Control Auditing: Conduct diligent visual and physical inspections of incoming components and finished products to identify defects and ensure flawless operation before packing.
- Digital Production Tracking: Use internal digital shop-floor tablets to accurately log completed work orders, track raw material consumption, and support warehouse inventory data integrity.
- Target Adherence: Operate within defined, time-bound daily production objectives and structured action plans to maintain consistent manufacturing flow.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in team meetings, utilising daily focus sheets and workflow reviews to contribute ideas that improve station organisation, reduce waste, and increase throughput.
Who You Are (Potential & Attitude)
At FourFront, we welcome applications from all backgrounds. While experience in a manufacturing, picking, or bench assembly environment is beneficial, we prioritise hiring for the right attitude, potential, and cultural fit. For this specific seat on the team, we are looking for someone who is:
- Steady and Dependable: You enjoy routine, take pride in consistency, and turn up every day ready to deliver reliable, high-quality work.
- Methodical & Detail-Focused: You genuinely enjoy focused, structured environments where you can get into a great workflow rhythm and master a process. You have an exceptionally sharp vision for quality checking, spotting tiny imperfections easily.
- Easy to Work With: You possess a calm, easygoing nature. You support your colleagues, handle feedback well, and communicate openly within a small team.
- Process-Oriented: You appreciate the value of order, clear guidelines, and following repeatable standard operating procedures.
- Forklift Licence (Desirable): Holding a valid forklift truck licence is a plus, but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
What We Offer
- Workplace Flexibility: Flexible working hours available to support a healthy work-life balance.
- Free On-Site Parking: Dedicated hassle-free staff parking at our Preston facility.
- Complimentary Refreshments: Fully stocked tea and coffee facilities available for all staff.
- A Stable, Growing Team: Be part of an inclusive, forward-thinking UK independent manufacturer with a high staff retention rate and equal opportunities for professional development.
