The Barn

Our kitchen teams are made up of talented individuals.

We are very proud of The Barn ant Moor Hall and the team we have assembled to support it, led by chef patron Mark Birchall and the head chef. Recently awarded one Michelin star, Mark Birchall’s restaurant, offers outstanding seasonal dishes in a modern restaurant setting.

Key Skills

We are looking for a strong, motivated individual, ideally someone who has worked in a similar role within the hospitality industry. The person will be a leader, team player who is an avid learner, adaptable and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Day to day

As a Sous Chef, you will be required to work under the direction of the head chef in the preparation and service of food ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times. You will be expected to manage the kitchen in the absence of the head chef. Ordering, stocktaking, rota’s and people management will be part of the weekly routine.

Benefits

Salary package of £60,000 including Tronc, staff rewards and incentives, including ‘Employee of the Month’, winning a night off to enjoy dinner for two at The Barn at Moor Hall. Regular social events, winter closure holidays, staff discount, meals provided, working to 8 services per week, private healthcare, friends and family rates, and uniforms.
