What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and hands-on assistant manager to support the day-to-day running of our warehouse operations.
This role will work closely alongside the Warehouse Manager and Warehouse General Manager. You will play a key part in ensuring the warehouse operates efficiently, safely, and to a high standard at all times.
The primary responsibility of this position is overseeing the Goods Out Team, ensuring customer orders are picked, checked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
You should have experience in a similar managerial role, managing a team in a warehouse environment and a proven track record of:
- Managing stock through a WMS.
- Dealing with orders.
- Liaising with other departments.
- Meeting KPI's.
- Remaining calm under pressure.
You will also:
- Have a strong knowledge of warehouse health and safety measures.
- Be comfortable being in charge and giving out instructions.
- Be highly organised.
- Strong communication skills.
- Be in charge of a wider team to ensure it all runs smoothly.
Working Hours & Flexibility
This is a full-time permanent role, with working hours between 8am - 5pm however we do require flexibility to support the operational needs of the warehouse.
Weekend work is an expected part of this role, and the successful candidate must be willing to work weekends to ensure dispatch targets are achieved and warehouse operations continue to run efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Warehouse Manager with the daily running of the warehouse.
- Taking primary responsibility for managing the Goods Out Team in Unit 1.
- Supervising warehouse staff and ensuring daily operational targets are achieved.
- Ensuring all customer orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately.
- Monitoring workflow and maintaining productivity across the department.
- Supporting staff training, organisation, and team development.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and health & safety.
- Assisting with stock control and resolving operational issues when required.
- Supporting communication between warehouse departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Leading by example and maintaining a professional and proactive approach at all times.
