Looking for a hands-on Quantity Surveying role with real responsibility and a clear route to managing your own projects?
We are looking for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team.
This is not a role where you will be limited to take-offs and spreadsheets. From day one, you will work across live commercial construction projects, supporting the commercial management of schemes from procurement through to final account.
You will work closely with our Senior Management team, gaining direct exposure to client valuations, cost reporting, procurement, subcontractor accounts, variations and final accounts. As you develop, there will be a clear opportunity to take commercial responsibility for smaller, less complex projects, initially with support and review from senior management.
The Role
Initially, you will provide quantity surveying support across a number of live projects, ensuring that commercial information is accurate, organised and ready for review and submission.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of client valuations and supporting information
- Maintaining variation trackers and preparing variation quotations
- Assisting with Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), cost reporting and forecasting
- Preparing subcontract enquiries, analysing quotations and compiling comparison documents
- Supporting subcontract procurement
- Reviewing subcontractor applications for payment and preparing payment assessment information
- Maintaining procurement schedules, subcontract records and commercial trackers
- Assisting with the preparation and agreement of client and subcontractor final accounts
- Attending project, client and subcontractor meetings as your experience develops
- Supporting the project delivery team with commercial information and cost control
Progression
This role offers a clear development route towards becoming a Project Quantity Surveyor.
As your experience and confidence develop, you will be given the opportunity to take increasing commercial responsibility, initially including managing smaller, less complex projects up to approximately £1 million in value, with senior support and review.
About You
We are looking for somebody who is ambitious, organised and keen to build a long-term career in Quantity Surveying.
You may be a recent graduate, currently studying Quantity Surveying, or have some early-career experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
You will ideally have:
- A degree, HNC/HND or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related discipline
- Some Quantity Surveying, estimating, commercial or construction experience would be advantageous
- Strong numeracy, attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good IT skills, including Excel

- A full UK driving licence
