We have a vacancy for a part-time Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team within Borders Pharmacy, Galashiels.
The schedule is:
Thursday 10:00 - 16:00
Friday: 09:00 - 17:30
Saturday: 09:00 - 17:00
This is a fantastic opportunity for a trained dispenser to join our team. Open to trainee position for the right candidate. If you are a trainee you will start on £12.71 an hour which will increase to £13.40 an hour on completion of NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services. We will pay for this course and support you through training to achieve this qualification, so if this of interest to you then please get in touch.
Your main duties will include:
· Maintain an accurate, efficient and professional dispensing experience for all of our customers.
· Serving patients on the front counter, selling medicines and taking in prescriptions.
· Support our pharmacist in achieving excellence in our customer experience and meeting all legal requirements.
· Dispensing repeat and acute medication.
· Liaising with Pharmacist and other members of the Pharmacy team
· Dealing with compliance aids
· Give healthcare advice
· Maintaining Pharmacy stock levels
Skills and requirement:
· Minimum NVQ2 qualification (preferred)
· Excellent communication and listening skills.
· Able to comply fully and understand the importance of customer confidentiality.
· Good organisational skills, excellent time management skills and able to work to strict deadlines and multitask.
· Able to build relationships with key partners (GP surgeries, care/nursing homes etc.)
· A willingness to learn and apply new skills
