About the role:
As the International Officer for Global you will be responsible for recruiting students (of non-UK origin) into our mainstream courses at the Sixth Form Campus and to provide on-going support to students whilst they study at the College.
The role requires strong stakeholder management skills, liaising with parents, students, agencies and staff to deliver a high-quality international student experience, alongside prior experience in international programmes and a busy office environment. Candidates must be confident using IT, able to work independently, and demonstrate high reliability with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit and support international students, managing relationships with global recruitment agents and enquiries across phone, email, and in-person channels.
- Assess applications, determine eligibility, and coordinate admissions processes including interviews, enrolment, and offer/acceptance communications.
- Act as a key liaison across departments (Admissions, Finance, Safeguarding, Curriculum, etc.) to ensure a smooth student journey.
- Manage student records, payments, and reporting, including maintaining databases, tracking fees, and producing data insights.
- Coordinate homestay accommodation, enrolment periods, and deliver a vibrant social programme for international students.
- Promote the College globally, support international visits, contribute to marketing materials, and provide ongoing pastoral and safeguarding support (including helpline rota)
To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:
- A good standard of Maths and English
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and confident in the use of IT systems
- Experience of having run or assisted in the running of an International Student department, preferably within the FE or HE sector
