Full job description

We are looking to recruit a Medicines Counter Assistant to work at our branch in East Wittering.

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic person to join our team. Someone who is a team player with strong interpersonal skills who is organised and keen to support their colleagues in delivering the highest levels of customer service and patient care.

The role requires a candidate who is also flexible and willing to learn new skills, they must be personable and diplomatic when resolving customer issues. Salary is dependant on candidate experience.

The role will involve:

Learning how to tailor conversations with every customer to ensure they leave the pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs, as well as a smile on their face
Creating relationships with valued customers and working at the counter giving basic advice to customers and taking money for sales or prescriptions
Stock replenishment and maintaining a professional appearance of the pharmacy
Handling prescriptions and knowing the requirements (payments, exemptions etc)
Answering phone calls and handling customer inquiries
Working accurately and maximising sales experience for the customer

The right candidate should:

Have excellent interpersonal skills
Be self motivated, well-organised, a good listener and discreet
Have good organisational and time management skills
Follow instructions well and have numeracy skills to handle cash and stock
Be computer literate and have high levels of literacy and numeracy
A willingness to learn and work in a team
Work accurately with great attention to detail in a busy environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £11.50-£12.50 per hour
