We are looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our Conference & Banqueting Kitchen and help deliver exceptional food while supporting and developing our passionate kitchen team.

What you will be doing

Working alongside our Head Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our busy Conference & Banqueting Kitchen, helping deliver outstanding food for events ranging from intimate private dining to weddings and functions of up to 200 guests.

Your responsibilities will include

Supporting the Head Chef in leading and inspiring the kitchen team
Preparing and delivering exceptional food for weddings, conferences and events
Maintaining consistently high standards of presentation and quality
Coaching and developing junior chefs
Assisting with menu planning, stock management and ordering
Ensuring food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards are maintained
Working closely with the Events and Front of House teams to ensure seamless service
Remaining calm, organised and quality-focused during busy service periods

About you

You will be passionate about great food, enjoy leading by example and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Ideally you will have

Previous experience as a Sous Chef or an ambitious Junior Sous Chef ready for the next step
Experience within a hotel, country house, wedding venue, conference centre or banqueting operation
Experience delivering high-quality food for large events
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail
A passion for fresh ingredients and consistently high standards
A good understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and event schedules
