Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail, efficiency, and a friendly demeanour are essential. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and food items, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring customers have a positive experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages, teas, and specialised drinks in accordance with company standards
Assist customers with menu selections and provide excellent customer service
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed
Handle cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality

Requirements

Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar customer-facing food service role
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Strong serving skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Ability to perform food preparation tasks efficiently and safely
Excellent time management skills to handle peak periods calmly and effectively
Organised with attention to detail to ensure consistency in beverage quality and cleanliness standards
Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
