Full job description

HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER - from £45k pa

Philip Trim Contractors has been established over 35 years operating from our premises in Bere Regis, Dorset. We operate over 16 articulated lorries, 4 rigid tankers and over 20 tractors and machinery to provide all aspects of non-hazardous liquid waste transportation and disposal, and agricultural contracting services.

The majority of our modern fleet are Scania units.

This role involves:

Hauling non-hazardous liquid waste in one of our fleet of artic lorries
Ensure works are correct and fully compliant, with a high regard for correct working practices and health and safety
There will be reactive callouts and unplanned emergency work
This role involves nights out, minimum of two per week, and working a weekend rota every other week, if required (+ enhanced pay)
You must be able to complete paperwork in an accurate and timely manner such as waste transfer notes (soon to be an electronic Transport Management System)
You will be responsible for daily vehicle checks, defect reporting and completion of vehicle logs
You must be a team player and able to communicate effectively with our office team and customers
Company uniform, work wear and PPE is provided.

Key requirements:

Must be experienced in driving a Class 1 HGV vehicle
Hold full and valid UK driving licence and HGV C+E licence
CPC Certificate is essential
Can provide proof of right to work in the UK.
