About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Compliance Monitoring Manager to oversee the company’s Compliance Monitoring System across its Part-145 Maintenance Organisation and Part-CAMO approval. The successful applicant will ensure our helicopter engineering operations continue to meet all applicable regulatory, safety, and quality requirements. This position is critical to maintaining our reputation for excellence, regulatory approval, and operational integrity within the aviation industry.
This is an opportunity to play a key role within a well-established helicopter maintenance organisation, working closely with senior management to shape and continually improve the company’s Compliance Monitoring System.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure full compliance across the organisation’s Part-145 and Part-CAMO approval with applicable UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations, retained UK aviation legislation and other regulatory requirements. This includes EASA and FAA regulations where applicable, airworthiness requirements, and applicable aerospace standards.
Lead internal audits and coordinate with external regulatory and customer audits. Prepare the organisation for inspections and ensure timely closure of findings and observations.
- Compliance Monitoring Programme:
Maintain and continuously improve the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP) across the organisation’s Part-145 Maintenance Organisation and Part-CAMO approval, in line with UK CAA regulatory requirements This includes planning and conducting audits, monitoring corrective actions, verifying their effectiveness and reporting on compliance performance.
- Policy & Procedure Development:
Maintain and update company policies, procedures, and manuals, including the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME), and associated compliance documentation to ensure they reflect current regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Deliver training and guidance to staff on compliance matters, regulatory updates, and procedural changes. Promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
Identify compliance risks and work with relevant departments to develop mitigation strategies. Monitor the effectiveness of compliance controls.
- Liaison with Authorities:
Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities, customers and external auditors for compliance-related matters.
Prepare detailed compliance reports and performance metrics for senior management, including trends, audit outcomes, corrective actions and areas for improvement.
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience in a compliance monitoring, quality, or regulatory role within an aviation or aerospace environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK CAA Part-145, Part-CAMO regulatory requirements.
- Experience planning and conducting internal audits and managing regulatory documentation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk management.
- Ability to satisfy the UK CAA requirements for nomination as Compliance Monitoring Manager.
Desirable:
- Engineering or technical background with an understanding of aircraft maintenance and continuing airworthiness.
- Previous experience in helicopter engineering or rotary-wing operations.
- Lead Auditor qualification (AS 9100, ISO 9001, or similar).
- NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification.
