We are looking for an experienced Asbestos Contracts Manager to join our growing asbestos removal division.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who has a strong background in licensed asbestos removal, contract management and site operations, and who is looking to take responsibility for the successful delivery of asbestos projects from mobilisation through to completion.
The Role
As an Asbestos Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple asbestos removal contracts, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, commercially and in accordance with all relevant legislation and HSE requirements.
You will work closely with clients, site teams, supervisors, analysts, subcontractors and senior management to ensure projects are properly planned, resourced and delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage asbestos removal contracts from initial instruction through to completion.
· Plan and coordinate licensed and non-licensed asbestos removal works.
· Prepare and review programmes, RAMS, Plans of Work and project documentation.
· Ensure works comply with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, HSE guidance and company procedures.
· Coordinate site labour, supervisors, equipment, materials and waste arrangements.
· Liaise directly with clients, principal contractors, consultants and independent analysts.
· Monitor project progress, quality, safety and commercial performance.
· Attend site meetings and provide regular project updates.
· Ensure adequate supervision and competent resources are allocated to each project.
· Monitor asbestos air monitoring, four-stage clearance and certification requirements.
· Coordinate asbestos waste movements and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained.
· Identify and manage project risks, variations, delays and additional works.
· Assist with estimating, quotations and tender submissions where required.
· Monitor project costs, budgets, labour and plant utilisation.
· Investigate incidents, complaints and non-conformances and ensure appropriate corrective action.
· Maintain accurate project records and ensure documentation is completed and retained.
· Support the company's continued development and growth.
About You
The successful candidate will have substantial experience within the asbestos removal industry, with a strong understanding of the practical and commercial requirements of managing asbestos contracts.
You should have:
· Proven experience as an Asbestos Contracts Manager, Contracts Manager, Project Manager or similar.
· Strong knowledge of licensed asbestos removal procedures.
· Good understanding of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and HSE requirements.
· Experience managing multiple projects and site teams.
· Excellent communication and client-management skills.
· Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
· Good commercial awareness and understanding of project costs.
· Ability to read and understand asbestos surveys, Plans of Work and RAMS.
· Experience working with principal contractors, local authorities, housing associations and/or commercial clients.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
· Full UK driving licence.
Relevant asbestos industry qualifications and experience are essential.
