Full job description

The Role: Health & Wellness Quality Control Assistant

*Please note: We are seeking candidates with previous experience in the food manufacturing industry*

This is a great opportunity to join our Health & Wellness quality team as a Quality Control Assistant, working on the manufacture of well-known protein and nutrition products for leading brands such as SCI-MX, Protein Dynamix, and many more. Following our recent acquisition of the well-known brand Slimfast, we are looking for motivated candidates with a positive, can-do attitude and a genuine eagerness to learn and make a difference to quality to join our growing team. This is an exciting time to come on board with the division recently moving to a new, multi-million-pound, purpose-built manufacturing facility.

Start Date: ASAP Location: Manchester, Trafford Park, M17

Days/Hours: Monday to Friday – Flexible to work 06:30 – 14:30

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

Key Responsibilities

Complete quality documentation accurately and on time.
Carry out hygiene inspections and GMP audits.
Investigate quality issues, non-conformances and complaints.
Prepare samples for testing and analysis.
Conduct routine quality checks on raw materials, work in progress and finish products.
Support and maintenance of documentation for the Quality Management Systems
Support internal audits.

Skills and Experience Required

Excellent attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Knowledge of food hygiene and food safety principles.
Good Microsoft Office skills.
Food manufacturing experience, ideally in the role of QC.
Knowledge of HACCP and GMP.
