About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a full-time Dairy Staff Member. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the dairy herd, ensuring high standards of animal health, welfare, and milk quality are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Pushing up cows whilst milking
- Milking cows to a high standard, following strict hygiene and welfare protocols
- Assisting with calving, calf rearing, and youngstock management
- Feeding and bedding livestock, maintaining clean and comfortable housing
- Monitoring cow health and behaviour, identifying and reporting issues promptly
- Administering treatments and supporting herd health routines under supervision
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment safely
- Assisting with record-keeping and data input (e.g. milk yields, treatments, breeding)
- General farm maintenance and yard work
- Working as part of a small, supportive team to ensure smooth farm operations
Requirements
- Previous experience working with dairy cattle is essential
- A genuine interest in livestock and agriculture
- Good attention to detail and willingness to follow procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to working hours (including weekends, nights and early mornings)
- Tractor/machinery experience desirable
- Full UK driving licence essential
- Fluent English Speaking
- Tele handler ticket is a bonus but not essential
- must be competent pushing cows around to bring them to milk
Working Hours & Benefits

- Rotating shifts to include weekends and some bank holidays

Previous dairy experience is essential. This role has a large amount of scope for the right candidate, therefore a can do attitude and willingness to learn is necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.50-£15.00 per hour
