Your Role
In line with the strategic objectives of the business & through your deployed goals developed as part of your personal Employee Development System (EDS), role remit & thus determined Key Performance Indices (KPI) assist in the sale of the Company’ products services & technology as profitably as possible into our chosen active & target account base & markets throughout the world. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of our planning tools to facilitate maintaining an average >96% OTIF against our promise with an average lead-time <4 weeks across the business. Ensure that Direct Labour and where appropriate In-Direct Labour are assigned and perform jobs that are always necessary in line with the production plan with regular updates to all interested parties. Control all released jobs, providing precise instructions relating to the job order requirements, including special procedures and BOM / PQIS updates. Liaise with your colleagues when job queries or delivery issues arise; but always in a proactive manner. Maintain and monitor an effective, agreed approach for batch / LOT size production trounces.
- Manage all aspects of new enquiry costs through the NPI system providing a formal estimate against each new enquiry the business quotes. Manage all aspects of item configuration into Syteline items, this includes but is not limited to: - item generation, current operations, current materials, OP assignment, planning and additional planning tabs as well as item categorization. Ensure participation on the margin improvement initiatives of the business working closely with your colleagues implementing best practice “LEAN” techniques.
- Supporting your line manager assist in all aspects of production transactions ultimately with your function fulfilling the shipping duties for all product leaving the facility.
- Assisting your line manager whilst working within the limits of authority for the business control stock objectives for raw materials and finished goods assisting to improve efficiency.
- Support production cost reduction initiatives through continuous improvement tools investigating and implementing ways of improving productivity, flexibility & the reduction of waste and rejects which will include the control of RMA’ through the production plan.
- To work within customer driven timescales for the delivery of our commitments. To manage our customers’ expectations. Not to over promise and under deliver, but to exceed both our customer, business and shareholder expectations.
- Assist to maintain the Companies document traceability in line with standards established, third party requirements and current legislation
- To work closely with other departments in the business.

- Assist your line manager as is necessary including other duties as are assignee
- Maintain and configure ERP, planning, costing, and production control systems to ensure data accuracy and effective operational performance.
- Configure and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, product structures, work centres, and planning parameters to support manufacturing requirements.
- Support configuration control processes, ensuring product and manufacturing data changes are implemented, documented, and traceable.

- A working knowledge of export and export shipping procedures
- An ability to challenge current practice. Excellent standards of literacy and numeracy
- Good MS Office user skills
- Good bespoke software user skills. Syteline would be an advantage, but not essential.
- Totally customer focused with a determination to succeed; entirely trustworthy
- Good analytical and priority setting skills
