Full job description

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Blondie & Brownie Decorator to join our production team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in creating beautifully finished products and can maintain high standards while working efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment.

You'll play a key role in bringing our bakes to life, helping to ensure every tray leaves the kitchen looking as good as it tastes.

Main Responsibilities & Key Tasks

Decorating and finishing brownies and blondies to a consistently high standard
Monitoring and managing products in the ovens to ensure perfect baking results
Preparing and portioning toppings, fillings and ingredients ready for production
Decorating up to 180 trays per day while maintaining quality and consistency
Following recipes, specifications and production schedules accurately
Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic workstation
Adhering to all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene procedures
Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy periods
Cutting and slicing brownies, blondies and traybakes into a variety of different sizes, ensuring each piece is neat, accurate and consistent
Following portion guides and product specifications to maintain presentation standards and reduce waste

Part-Time – 12-15 Hours Per Week

Flexible working hours with overtime opportunities available
Shifts available Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Key day being Tuesday & Wednesday.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required during busy periods and seasonal peaks
A variety of shift lengths and start times are available

Required Skills & Experience Essential:

Excellent attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistency
Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
A passion for producing high-quality baked goods

Desirable:

Previous experience in a bakery, food production or decorating role
Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety procedures

Please note: This is a production-focused role requiring speed, accuracy and consistency, with the expectation of decorating up to 180 trays per day whilst maintaining the high standards and presentation that Elle’s Bakery is known for.
