Willows Lodge Nursing Home is a 70-bedded care home in Tilbury, dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered care for our residents. Our team creates a vibrant, supportive, and homely environment where residents feel valued and cared for every day.
Role Overview:
We are looking for energetic and compassionate Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our friendly team. As an HCA, you will play a vital role in delivering the highest standard of care and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, and grooming, with dignity and respect.
- Assist residents with mobility and support them during meals and activities.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents, providing emotional support and companionship.
- Help residents maintain their independence while ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ health and behavior to senior staff.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to create a warm, positive atmosphere for residents.
- Encourage and support residents to participate in social activities, ensuring they remain engaged and happy.
What We’re Looking For:
- A caring and vibrant personality with a passion for making a difference in people’s lives.
- Previous experience in a care role is preferred but not essential – we provide full training!
- A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- A commitment to maintaining the dignity, respect, and confidentiality of residents at all times.
