Electrical Estimator & Project Manager
Salary: 49-57K + Package (Dependant on Experience)
Term: Full Time, Permanent

ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and highly professional Electrical Estimator to be part of a team tasked with delivering concise estimates and/or delivering successful projects as workloads dictate.
The successful candidate will enjoy a varied workload with projects carried out from small works to circa £1 million pound schemes in different sectors such as commercial, public sector, education, retail and leisure, many on D&B basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs in order to develop estimates and design
- Prepare detailed estimates for pre-designed and full design and build projects valued to £1m
- Supply alternative methods of installations for consideration to provide a commercial advantage
- Take off quantities from drawings and input information onto our Estimating System
- Must be commercially focused and identify financial risks within projects
- Attend pre-tender, mid-tender, post-tender and site meetings with clients
- Secure contracts and handover to project managers after pre-order meetings
- Act in Project Manager capacity when not required to estimate
- Work to tight deadlines and manage own workload
- Liaise with customers regarding quotations to answer any queries
CRITERIA
- Electrical related qualifications and experience in line with this role
- Experience of estimating electrical work to the required level
- Ability to liaise with clients and consultants to provide proposals
- Good knowledge and understanding of Cypher estimating software or similar
- Good knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD software or similar
- Good understanding of IT skills (estimating systems, Excel, Word and Microsoft Project)
- Knowledge of materials and construction methods
- Understanding of electrical techniques and methodologies
- Familiar with Construction Design Management
- Excellent time management skills
