Kitchen & Front of House Team Member at LISBOA

At LISBOA, we bring the flavours, warmth, and spirit of Portugal to Sheffield. From our iconic Pastel de Nata to our freshly brewed bica, our café is a vibrant, buzzing space where people come for a taste of something special — and stay for the atmosphere.

We’re looking for a reliable, friendly, and capable team member to join us in a hybrid kitchen and front of house role. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their workday — from preparing and serving fresh brunch dishes in the kitchen to making coffee, serving customers, and creating a positive café experience on the floor.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident working independently, enjoys working with people, and thrives in a busy café environment.

Part-time: Approximately 25 hours per week
Mix of kitchen and front of house shifts
Includes weekday and weekend availability

The Role

Position: Part - Time
Hours: 25 hours/week
Location: LISBOA, Crookes, Sheffield
Reports to: Manager
Availability: Must include weekends

What You’ll Be Doing

Kitchen Duties

Preparing and cooking items from our Portuguese-inspired breakfast and brunch menu
Running the kitchen independently during quieter service periods
Assisting with prep, service, stock rotation, and cleaning
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and presentation
Supporting with stock monitoring and communicating ordering needs
Contributing ideas for specials and menu improvements

Front of House & Barista Duties

Welcoming customers and providing warm, friendly service
Taking customer orders and serving food and drinks
Preparing coffee and other beverages to a high standard
Keeping the café clean, organised, and well-presented
Handling busy service periods calmly and efficiently
Working closely with the wider team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

What We’re Looking For

Previous kitchen, experience preferred
Previous café experience needed
Confident preparing food and working independently in the kitchen
Barista experience is desirable but not essential
A positive, team-focused attitude
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to stay organised and calm under pressure
Reliable, punctual, and proactive
A genuine passion for food, coffee, and hospitality
