Teaching Assistants - Byron Wood Primary School

Permanent - 37 hours per week
Salary (pro rata): £22,426 - £23,146

We are seeking x2 dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our hardworking team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and making a real impact in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored support to individual pupils and small groups to help them access learning and achieve their goals.
Assist the class teacher with preparing resources, delivering learning activities, and maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Support pupils with additional needs, helping to remove barriers to learning and promoting independence.
Contribute to the assessment of pupils’ progress by observing, recording, and feeding back to teaching staff.
Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and positive behaviour.
Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies to support pupils' well-being and development.

We are looking for someone who:

Is passionate about working with children and committed to supporting their progress.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Is adaptable, proactive, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
Demonstrates patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach.
Holds relevant experience of working in a school setting (desirable but not essential if skills and enthusiasm are evident).
Shares Byron Wood’s values and drive to ensure every child thrives.
