The Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills within a quality-driven environment, working alongside experienced chefs who are passionate about their craft.
As a Commis Chef, you’ll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, assisting with the preparation and delivery of dishes that showcase fresh, high-quality ingredients. Working closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chefs, and Chef de Parties, you’ll gain valuable experience across different sections while helping to maintain the high standards our guests have come to expect.
This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, takes pride in their work, and is looking to build a long-term career within a supportive and growing hospitality group.
Key Responsabilities
- Assist in the preparation and service of dishes across various kitchen sections
- Support the team in delivering consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
- Prepare ingredients with care and attention to detail, following recipes and kitchen procedures
- Maintain an organised, clean, and efficient workstation throughout service
- Assist with stock rotation and support initiatives to minimise waste and maximise quality
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and professional service
- Maintain composure and attention to detail during busy service periods
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and compliance procedures at all times
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn, develop new skills, and grow within the business
About You
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or experience working within a professional kitchen environment
- A genuine passion for quality ingredients, great food, and hospitality
- Eager to learn from experienced chefs and develop your culinary knowledge
- Well-organised with strong time management and attention to detail
- A positive and dependable team player with excellent communication skills
- Calm, professional, and motivated in a fast-paced environment
- Proud of maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and professionalism
