Job Summary
MJ Bahrain Trading & Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Global Trade to lead international trading operations, develop global market opportunities, and oversee cross-border commercial activities. This role is ideal for a senior trade leader with strong experience in import/export, international business development, supply chain coordination, and trade compliance who can drive growth, strengthen partnerships, and improve global trade performance.
What You'll Do
- Lead global trade operations, including import, export, sourcing, procurement, and international commercial activities.
- Develop and implement global trade strategies to support market expansion, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
- Build and manage relationships with international suppliers, buyers, distributors, logistics partners, and trade consultants.
- Oversee customs documentation, trade compliance, Incoterms, shipping processes, and cross-border transaction requirements.
- Identify new markets, product opportunities, supplier networks, and commercial partnerships.
- Manage trade agreements, supplier contracts, pricing strategies, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor international market trends, geopolitical risks, currency considerations, demand patterns, and competitor activity.
- Work with finance, logistics, procurement, sales, and senior leadership teams to align trade operations with business goals.
- Track trade KPIs, margins, shipment performance, compliance risks, and business development outcomes.
- Prepare executive reports, market analyses, trade forecasts, commercial proposals, and strategic recommendations.
Requirements
- Experience in global trade, international business, import/export operations, supply chain management, procurement, logistics, business development, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous senior management, director-level, or international trade leadership experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of customs processes, trade compliance, Incoterms, global sourcing, supplier management, commercial contracts, and international logistics.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to manage complex trade operations, international stakeholders, budgets, contracts, shipments, and competing priorities.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, ERP systems, CRM platforms, logistics tools, trade documentation systems, reporting platforms, and market research tools.
- Strong commercial awareness with a practical approach to global trade growth, risk management, and operational efficiency.

Pay: £60,000.00-£102,000.00 per year
