Description: Chrysalis Associates are an independent multi-disciplinary therapeutic team who specialise in the assessment and treatment of developmental trauma and attachment difficulties in children. We are currently looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to join our team.
This role involves working alongside our team of clinical psychologists and trauma and attachment therapists to provide detailed assessments of children’s complex needs (including diagnostic assessments for ASD, ADHD and FASD). The role also involves running online Therapeutic Parent ing groups and facilitating individual therapy programs based around CBT, Mindfulness and Sensory Regulation approaches. There are many additional opportunities for service-evaluation and research within the team.

We are looking for candidates with:
· A Psychology degree recognised by the BPS (ideally 2:1 or above).
· Experience of working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, in particular children living in foster or adoptive families or in residential care.
· Experience administering and analysing psychometric measures.
· A good understanding of Attachment Theory.
· Excellent report-writing skills.
· Good organisational skills, flexibility and autonomy.
The post is based involved in our Sheffield office but will involve frequent travel to our other therapy bases in Grantham, York and Bradford. A current UK driving licence and access to your own car is essential.

Job Description
TITLE: Assistant Psychologist
PURPOSE OF ROLE: To support the Chrysalis Team across the bases in Sheffield, Grantham, York and Bradford and in family homes, school and other offsite locations by assisting with the assessment of children and their families, providing 1:1 and group-based therapeutic interventions for children and parents, and evaluating a range of different projects within the service.
REPONSIBILITIES: To work alongside Clinical Psychologists to plan, deliver, analyse and write up a range of psychometric assessment measures.
To be prepared to provide assessments in client homes, schools and other offsite locations requiring the ability to drive and access to a car
To provide analysis and written reports of outcomes for individual clients and the service as a whole.
To develop and maintain a database of client outcome measures.
To facilitate group based interventions for parents of children with trauma and attachment difficulties, FASD and ASD.
To maintain a knowledge of the current literature concerning attachment and trauma.
To undertake correspondence and note keeping as appropriate.
To adhere to the standards laid down by Chrysalis Associates Ltd concerning the management of all written material and keeping of clinical information.
To implement and abide by all Professional Policies, Procedures and Guidelines of Chrysalis Associates Ltd.
CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
Develop a contract for regular and effective clinical supervision in relation to the work carried out.
Attend regular clinical supervision
Undertake appropriate training in relation to providing the service.
Pay: £24,500.00-£28,000.00 per year
