Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join our small friendly engineering machine shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking a drawing and a piece of material, setting up, programming, and operating Fanuc or Heidenhain CNC machines to produce precision components.

We are a machine shop that produce 1 off components to small batch work from parts you can hold in your hand upto 1 tonne in weight. We work in a variety of materials from carbon steels, aluminiums, plastics, stainless and anything else that comes along.

£17.00 - £20.00 per hour depending on experience.

Hours: Mon-Thurs 08:00-16:30 Fridays 08:00-15:00

Duties

Operate CNC milling and grinding machines with precision, ensuring adherence to technical drawings and specifications.
Interpret technical drawings
Set up tooling and fixtures, ensuring proper alignment and calibration for each job.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on CNC equipment to maintain optimal performance.
Conduct basic maths calculations for measurements, tolerances, and material handling.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.

Experience

Proven experience in operating CNC milling machines, with a focus on precision machining.
Ability to read technical drawings accurately and perform basic mathematical calculations related to machining tasks. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach to safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement within a collaborative team environment.

Pay: £17.00-£20.00 per hour
