Hatfield Primary Academy
37 hours per week | 39 weeks per year | Permanent
Working hours: Monday-Thursday: 08:00 - 16:00 / Friday 08:00-15:30
Salary: £22,426 - £23,146 (pro rata)

The Role

We are seeking a caring, committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team from June. Working 37 hours per week during term time, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing, working closely with teachers and support staff to help every child thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils individually and in small groups to access learning and make progress
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
Promote positive behaviour and support pupils’ emotional and social development
Provide targeted support for pupils with additional or SEND needs
Help prepare learning resources and maintain a safe, stimulating classroom environment
Supervise pupils during lessons, activities, transitions and, where required, at breaktimes
Uphold the school’s values, safeguarding procedures and inclusive ethos at all times

A patient, positive and caring individual with a genuine commitment to supporting children
Experience of working with primary-aged pupils, or a strong desire to develop in this role
Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and adults
A flexible, proactive team player who can also use their own initiative
A strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Alignment with Hatfield Primary Academy’s values and high expectations for all learners
