Your role in our journey
An exciting opportunity within Barnsley Council to improve your employability after graduation with a year in industry in Barnsley Council’s People Services department. This programme, also known as a sandwich year, allows you the student to incorporate a work placement into your degree and gain valuable work experience. We will also benefit from someone who can bring fresh and innovative insight into our projects, working with various members of our people Services team to help grow your knowledge, skills and experience.
What you’ll need
To join us, you’ll be undertaking a related degree with a knowledge of human resources tools and techniques. You’ll assist with the development and delivery of key projects within People Services by supporting with research and developing policies, procedures and initiatives across the Council. Crucially, you must be an excellent communicator and understand the importance of partnership working.
