About the Role
As part of our consultancy team, you’ll play an active role in improving the safety and compliance of lifting operations across diverse and exciting sectors including onshore and offshore wind, construction, civil engineering, manufacturing, and defence.
From day one, you’ll be contributing to real projects while receiving hands-on training, structured development, and mentorship from experienced professionals. Expect variety, responsibility, and the chance to work in unique environments—including occasional travel across the UK (and maybe further afield) and offshore.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work and spotting patterns or issues that others might miss
What You'll Be Doing
- Review lift plans, identifying non-compliance and preparing structured feedback
- Supporting site inspections/safety audits and identifying gaps or unmitigated risks
- Contributing to high-quality compliance reports and documentation
- Assisting in the development of client lifting operations management systems
- Visiting client sites and taking part in hazard identification workshops
- Supporting the planning and management of lifting operations where required
What We’re Looking For
We’re interested in individuals who are motivated, curious, and eager to grow:
- Right to work in the UK
- Established background in lifting operations and/or health & safety
- A solid understanding of UK work related legislation, regulations and standards
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- Confident communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
Required Qualifications (one of the following required):
- CPCS/NPORS Appointed Person or Lift Supervisor (or equivalent)
OR
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
Desirable Qualifications or Experience (not essential):
- GWO Basic Safety Training (Work at height, Manual Handling, First Aid, Fire Awareness & Sea Survival)
- IOSH Managing Safely
- AutoCAD or other equivalent drawing/design software
- Trained and competent in the role of Slinger/Signaller (CPCS/NPORS etc)
- Trained Incident/Accident Investigator
Additional Requirements:
- Comfortable working at height and in offshore/marine environments
- Physically capable of site work including climbing, manual handling and vessel access/egress when required
- Will need to pass an OEUK Medical & GWO Basic Safety Training for offshore visits/site access
