Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Self Employed Hairdresser to provide exceptional hairdressing services to clients. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to build your own client base within a professional environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for hairstyling, alongside excellent customer service skills, and be confident in delivering a range of beauty treatments including eyelash extensions and makeup application. As a self-employed professional, you will manage your own schedule while ensuring high standards of service and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Deliver professional hairdressing services such as cutting, colouring, styling, and specialised treatments in accordance with client preferences.
Provide additional beauty services including eyelash extensions and makeup application to enhance client experience.
Manage appointments efficiently, ensuring timely service delivery and optimal utilisation of your schedule.
Maintain a welcoming and professional front desk presence, assisting clients with enquiries and scheduling.
Upsell products and services to maximise client satisfaction and business growth.
Offer mentoring or guidance to junior staff or apprentices where applicable.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and workspaces are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication skills, fostering loyalty and repeat business.

Qualifications

Proven experience in hairdressing, barbering or related beauty treatments.
Demonstrable skills in store management or salon organisation is advantageous.
Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
Competence in eyelash extensions, makeup application, and other beauty treatments is desirable.
Ability to upsell products and additional services effectively while maintaining professionalism.
Previous experience in front desk duties or reception is beneficial but not essential.
Self-motivated with the ability to organise your own schedule efficiently.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in hairdressing or beauty therapy are preferred but not mandatory for experienced practitioners. This role offers the flexibility of self-employment within a supportive environment where your skills can flourish while providing outstanding service to clients.
