Is This You?
You have spent years on the tools and you know roofing inside out. You understand materials, quantities, and what it actually takes to price a job properly. Now you are looking for something that lets you use that knowledge without being on the roof every day in all weathers.

We are a busy South Yorkshire roofing company and we need someone exactly like you. We are not looking for a surveyor or someone with a construction management degree — we want a roofer (or ex-roofer) who has done the job, knows their materials, and can translate that experience into accurate, competitive pricing.

Duties

Visiting sites across South Yorkshire to measure up and assess roofing works
Measuring from drawings and plans to calculate material quantities
Using estimating software to build out detailed, professional quotes
Pricing a wide range of projects — from residential repairs to larger commercial tenders
Talking directly with customers and keeping them informed throughout the quoting process
Staying on top of material prices and maintaining strong supplier relationships
Working closely with the rest of the team to make sure every job we quote is winnable and profitable

Skills

A genuine roofing background — you need to have worked in the trade
Confidence measuring from both drawings and on-site surveys
Experience using estimating or pricing software
Good working knowledge of roofing materials and how to quantify them — tiles, slates, flat systems, membranes, flashings and more
A friendly, professional manner with customers — you will be the face of our estimating process
Comfortable with basic computer tasks including email, spreadsheets, and quoting tools
A full UK driving licence — you will be out visiting sites regularly

£30,000–£40,000 per year depending on your experience
Genuinely flexible hours — we care about output, not clock-watching

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
