Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Steel Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating bespoke items such as gates, railings, handrails, . This role involves working with various tools and materials to produce high-quality steel structures and parts, supporting our ongoing projects and production demands. Candidates should possess a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in welding and fabrication, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

Cut and weld steel to form bespoke items, TIG welding used in workshop and on site
Fabricate steel parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment.
Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication processes.
Measure and mark materials accurately using basic math skills to meet specifications.
Assemble fabricated parts into final products or structures according to technical drawings and plans.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Inspect completed work for quality control, making adjustments as necessary to meet standards.

Experience

Proven experience in MIG welding and steel fabrication within a manufacturing or construction environment.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Prior experience working with various materials such as steel sheets, tubes, or structural components is preferred. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional seeking to utilise their welding and fabrication expertise within a dynamic team environment.
