In September 2026 we are excited to further enhance the curriculum and enrichment options for children at our school with the introduction of a dedicated food technology space.
Job overview
We are seeking an experience technician to support our Head of Art and Head of Food Technology in the development of both the art and food technology curriculum so that children may gain new skills and experiences and develop their talents and interests. You will work Monday - Wednesday 8:15am to 4:15pm, term time plus INSETs (34.4 weeks per year) supporting the school’s aims in providing a broad, balanced, enriching and inclusive curriculum. The role is covered Thursday - Friday by another member of staff.
Job requirements
- Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Art or Food Technology
- Practical art skills
- Experience in supervising and engaging children in art or food related activities
- Awareness of Child Safeguarding
- An awareness of the national curriculum for art and / or food technology across KS2 and KS3; plus an awareness of regulatory compliance requirements (H&S, food hygiene) would be helpful
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
