We’re expanding and looking for up to two Associate Trainers to join us in supporting health and social care organisations to learn, grow, and succeed.

You’ll be delivering training to external care providers across the private and public sector, delivering training in our training room in Yeovil, Somerset as well as travelling to client locations across the South West and, where required, nationwide.
The Role – Associate Trainer
As an Associate Trainer, you’ll support the delivery of a range of health and social care training, adapting your delivery style to suit different learners, environments, and organisations.
You’ll work independently, manage your own delivery and represent Northbrook professionally while contributing to the ongoing development of individuals, teams, and services.
This role is offered on a zero‑hours contract initially, providing flexibility, with opportunities to increase work as demand continues to grow.
Essential Criteria
You must:
- Be willing to provide or have a full DBS and share employment history.
- Have experience working within health and social care.
- Have experience teaching or training others using a variety of methods, including classroom based and presentation style delivery.
- Be able to travel independently and attend training locations.
- Be reliable, dedicated, and capable of managing your own workload.
- Be willing to represent Northbrook in line with our values of supporting, inspiring, and helping others succeed.
- Be able to use IT systems such as Microsoft Office and our Training Management System.
Desirable (But Not Essential)
You may also have:
- A current NMC PIN
- Experience in management or leadership roles within health and social care
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager
- A recognised teaching or training qualification
- The ability to deliver clinical skills training
- The ability to deliver leadership and management training
- The ability to deliver train the trainer programmes

Pay, Mileage & Contract
- £25.00 – £37.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Zero‑hours contract.
- Mileage paid at 45p per mile.
- Overnight stay allowance.
- Bonus incentive for bringing in new business
Training Materials & CPD
- All training materials will be provided and new material developed with you.
- CPD support is available, including CPD opportunities throughout the year
- Associates are also expected to maintain their own CPD, including informal learning and self‑development
