We're delighted to be recruiting for Income Recovery Assistant to join our exciting Income team.
This position will be based from our Yeovil office and will run for a 12 month fixed term contract.
You don’t need to have a housing or income collection background but we’re looking for someone who doesn’t shy away from being proactive in contacting our customers when they first go into rent arrears to discuss their circumstances and avoid arrears escalating. You’ll support and signpost customers to maximise income through benefits and budgeting. You’ll use your initiative and take responsibility to resolve customer queries in respect of their rent account.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
- Strong communication skills, ability to problem solve, assertiveness, work well within a team, excellent time management, work to deadlines. Ability to remain focused under difficult circumstances.

English and Maths skills to prepare correspondence and monitor and calculate payments.

Microsoft office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook. Digitally proficient. Proven negotiation skills.

Excellent telephone manner and call handling skills.
