Join Our Team as a Dispenser at Micklefield Surgery – Working at Micklefield Branch and South Milford Branch

Are you an experienced, qualified and dedicated dispenser, or someone who has a GP Surgery or Pharmacy background with Knowlege of using System 1 that would be interested in doing a Dispensing qualification. You must take pride in delivering safe, efficient, and patient-focused care? Are you ready to be part of a friendly and forward-thinking practice that values your contribution and encourages personal growth? If so, Micklefield & South Milford Surgery would love to hear from you!

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and flexible Dispenser to join our team, based at our Micklefield and South Milford Branches. This is a great opportunity for someone who is committed to high standards, wants to be involved in service improvement, and truly puts patient care at the heart of everything they do.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Dispensing medication accurately and safely in line with agreed protocols
Checking all dispensed items against prescriptions, and liaising with prescribers where necessary
Monitoring and ordering stock from suppliers, ensuring cost-effective choices are made
Receiving and storing deliveries using agreed stock control processes
Managing prescription forms, including patient declarations and endorsements
Ensuring all medication is delivered or collected within agreed timescales – including Dossett boxes and home deliveries
Maintaining high levels of professional development and participating in learning opportunities

Previous experience in a dispensing role – ideally in a GP dispensary setting
A high level of integrity, attention to detail, and professionalism
Flexibility to cover holidays and changing business needs
A proactive mindset – keen to contribute to service improvements and efficiencies
Commitment to ongoing professional development
A friendly team player who enjoys working in a patient-centred environment

Working Hours & Pay:

Vacancy is 3 days per week (Mon/Thurs/Fri) : Hours are 8am to 6pm, 1 hour for lunch unpaid (with flexibility to cover other days as needed)
Hourly Rate: £12.71 during probation rising upon successful completion of probation
