Beauty Therapy & Wellbeing Skills Trainer and Assessor
Location: Selby, North Yorkshire
Salary: from £27,500pa pro rata (39hrs) (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Hours: Part time 22.4 and Full-time 39 hrs available, with some evenings, weekends, and weekly overnight stays required
Armonia Training Academy is entering an exciting new phase of growth and expansion, and we are looking for an experienced and passionate Beauty Therapy and Wellbeing SkillsTrainer and Assessor to join our team in Selby, North Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, learner-focused professional to help shape and deliver exceptional training within our award-winning Academy.
The Role
You will play a key part in delivering, supporting, and developing high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Beauty Therapy, Aesthetics, Spa and Wellbeing training programmes. This includes full responsibility for the learning journey of your students, from induction to successful completion, including apprenticeships.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching, training, and assessment within Beauty Therapy, Aesthetics, Spa and Wellbeing disciplines.
- Take full ownership of the learner journey, ensuring an outstanding and supportive experience for all students.
- Contribute to Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) for relevant qualifications.
Key Accountabilities
- Accurately assess individual training needs and design tailored programmes to achieve outcomes within agreed timelines.
- Work collaboratively with academic and operational teams, supporting employer engagement and helping achieve Academy targets.
Duties
- Plan teaching, learning and assessment using Academy, awarding body, and apprenticeship frameworks.
- Deliver consistently good or outstanding teaching to ensure high learner success rates.
- Assess learners formatively and summatively to ensure timely achievement of qualifications and apprenticeship standards.
- Comply with all Academy quality assurance procedures to meet internal and external audit requirements.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment using appropriate resources and teaching strategies.
- Provide personal tutoring to support learner progress and help them achieve their full potential.
- Meet curriculum delivery requirements, learning hours, and awarding-body and funding guidelines.
- Always Adhere to relevant Health & Safety regulations.
- Contribute to reports, evaluations and documentation required for Academy operations, education authorities, or partners.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Beauty Therapy (general route) to Level 3
- Holistic qualifications and experience to minimum Level 3 (English-regulated)
- Teaching qualification (e.g.Cert Ed, PTLLS)
- Assessing qualifications (D32/33, A1/V1, TAQA) with proven experience
- Relevant industrial or commercial experience
- Up-to-date industry knowledge with evidence of continued professional development
Desirable Experience
- Brand training in: Elemis, Mii, Lava Shells, Touch Therapies for Cancer Care, and therapies for life-limiting/changing conditions
- Beauty Therapy Level 4
