Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Receptionist to join our busy legal practice. This role involves providing exceptional administrative support, managing client interactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be proficient in various office software, and have previous experience in administrative or clerical roles. This is a paid position suitable for individuals eager to develop their career within a dynamic legal environment.

Duties

Greet clients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Answer incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette and direct them appropriately
Maintain organised filing systems, both physical and electronic
Perform general administrative tasks including photocopying, scanning, and mailing documents
Ensure the reception area remains tidy and welcoming at all times
Support the legal team with administrative duties to facilitate efficient case management

Qualifications

Prior office experience or administrative experience is preferred
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel),
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good typing speed and accuracy for data entry tasks
Demonstrated professionalism with excellent phone etiquette
Ability to work independently whilst being a reliable team player
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
