Equans is looking for a Mobile Janitor to join our Team working across North Lanarkshire Schools, Bellshill, ML4 3LR on a permanent basis. This is a full- time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
Shift Pattern:
Typical shift times are as below:
This role operates on a rota basis across a two-week period, covering early, mid, and back shifts, including some weekend working. Flexibility is important, and shift times may vary depending on the site.
Primary School Shifts
- 5 / 5½ days over 7
- Early: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 15:00
- Back: Monday – Friday, 14:00 – 21:15
- Saturday: 08:00 – 12:15
High School Shifts
- 5 days over 7
- Early: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 15:00
Mid Shift:
- Monday – Wednesday, 08:00 – 16:00
- Saturday & Sunday, 09:00 – 16:15
- Back: Monday – Friday, 14:00 – 22:00
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work (travel expenses provided)
What will you deliver?
You will support a range of school sites, (North Lanarkshire ) helping to ensure they are safe, secure, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Opening and closing school premises safely
- Carrying out basic cleaning and site checks
- Responding to emergency situations and following procedures
- Supporting site security, including liaising with emergency services if required
This is a mobile role where you will work across different sites, so adaptability and a positive approach are key.

Essential:
