Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Fabricator/Welders to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidates would be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and expertise, ensuring all work meets quality standards. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding, other welding techniques, ieTIG & MMA would be an asset but not essential on various metals, including sheet metal and structural components
- Fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Assemble components accurately to meet design specifications
- Work with mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Assist in the selection of appropriate materials for each project
Qualifications
- Time served in general fabrication and general welding processes
- Strong understanding of fabrication techniques involving sheet metal and structural steel
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely
- Good mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
- Experience in assembly work is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in welding or fabrication are advantageous
