Talkmatters, a dedicated mental health charity based in Dunfermline and committed to supporting the people of Fife, are seeking 2 new Trustees. This is a great opportunity to play a vital part helping to shape our work and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our charity. Ideal candidates will have a range of diverse skills, experiences, and perspectives and share a passion for mental health support. Whether you bring expertise in business, finance, marketing, fundraising, advocacy, policy-making, or lived experience with mental health challenges, your contribution will be vital to our success, so we can continue to provide and expand our essential mental health services across the community.
Duties
- As a trustee, you play an integral role in guiding the strategic direction of Talkmatters. You’ll work closely with our leadership team to oversee governance, ensure financial sustainability, and uphold our mission to deliver exceptional support. Trustees act as ambassadors for the charity, using their skills and networks to inspire growth and foster change.
Experience
- A genuine commitment to improving mental health support.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- An understanding of charity governance and accountability (training can be provided).
- Availability to attend trustee meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
Job Type: Volunteer
Pay: Up to £1.00 per year
