Full job description

Hours: 16 hours per week

Salary: Starting at £11,315 per annum (actual) (Full time equivalent £26,520)

Location: Shropshire/ Telford & Wrekin with some hybrid working available.

Holidays: 34 days including statutory holidays per annum, to be calculated pro rata to hours worked

Reports to: Operational Support Officer

Length: Fixed term contract until 31st March 2027 (with a view to permanency dependant on funding)

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The HR Administrator provides part-time administrative support to the Operational Support Officer. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with recruitment administration, supporting onboarding activities, and carrying out general HR administration. This position is suitable for someone who is organised, reliable, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.

KEY TASKS

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records on the HR portal.
Prepare standard HR documentation, including offer letters, contracts, and correspondence using approved templates.
Upload HR documentation to employees’ digital file
Assist with recruitment administration, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, and communicating with candidates.
Support the onboarding process by preparing new starter documentation and ensuring all required paperwork is completed.
Update HR systems with employee information, (i.e. changes to personal details and employment status)
Process employee changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Assist with maintaining absence, annual leave, and training records.
Support the preparation of payroll information by ensuring employee data is accurate and submitted on time.
Monitor DBS compliance with quarterly checks
Support the organisation of training sessions and employee engagement activities where required.
Ensure all HR records are maintained in accordance with GDPR and company confidentiality requirements.
Upload updated policies and procedures onto HR platform
Support employee engagement initiatives and company events.
Prepare HR reports and metrics as required.
Assist with performance review administration.
Support audits and compliance activities.
Assist with filing, scanning, and document management.
Maintain confidential personnel files and sensitive information.
Undertake other reasonable administrative duties as requested by senior management.
