An ever-ambitious company, Associated Security specialises in the manufacture, distribution, installation & aftersales service of physical security products. An opportunity has arisen to join the business as an ATM and Safe Engineer, playing a critical role within the day-to-day field operations. This role is primarily focused on maintaining, upgrading and opening safes and ATMs. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality service and support to customers while maintaining the company’s professional standards and reputation. This is a mobile role requiring regular travel across the UK mainland. The successful candidate will also participate in an on-call rota approximately once per month to cover out-of-hours urgent service work.
Key Responsibilities:
· Service, repair, and maintain a wide range of ATMs, safes, and locking systems, including mechanical, digital, and electrical locks.
· Forced openings of locked safes and ATMs.
· Fit and install aftermarket ATM security upgrade equipment
· Cut and manage all types of keys, including mortice and cylinder keys.
· Provide locksmith and mechanical repairs where required.
· Deliver excellent customer service, maintaining strong relationships and high service standards.
· Maintain accurate service records and a growing library of technical service information.
· Support and assist other service engineers to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
· Follow established procedures to ensure efficient job completion and closure.
· Maintain clear and professional communication with the call desk.
· Manage van stock control, logging on and off customer systems as required.
· Respond to urgent out-of-hours callouts when on the on-call rota.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience within the physical security industry or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of modern and traditional locking systems, including electronic and mechanical locks.
- Recognised safe opening and locksmith training.
- Willingness and ability to train on new products and systems.
- Experience working as a mobile service engineer.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
- Professional attitude with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working with ATMs and safes, and locks.
- Relevant locksmith qualifications.
