Maintenance Technician
Location: Shropshire Community Leisure Trust, Shropshire
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday - Work van provided

As a Maintenance Technician in our Shropshire Community Leisure Trust team, you’ll help ensure our 6 leisure facilities in Shropshire are safe, comfortable, and welcoming for everyone in the community. You’ll play a vital part in keeping our buildings and equipment operating smoothly so that our customers can enjoy clean, reliable, and energy-efficient spaces every day.
You’ll play a key role in creating environments that support wellbeing, active lifestyles, and positive experiences for the communities we serve.
What you’ll do as a Maintenance Technician
You’ll be entrusted to:

Carry out planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance across building systems and equipment.

Manage and record maintenance activities in our Facilities Management System (FMS).

Oversee and support contractors on-site, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Respond quickly to maintenance issues, prioritising effectively to minimise disruption.

Maintain systems and controls that support comfort, extend asset lifespan, and reduce energy use.

Support Technical and Facility Management colleagues with operational and technical queries.
Does this sound like you?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

Recognised qualifications such as City and Guilds (C&G) 2382 in 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and C&G Electrical Installation and Maintenance Studies or equivalent.

Hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Strong working knowledge of health, safety, and customer care procedures.

Confidence using computer-aided systems for maintenance and reporting tasks.

A proactive and reliable attitude in the workplace.
-
Advantageous - plumbing qualification, or any other trade qualifications.

Swimming Pool Plant Operator & L8 Awareness training will be provided.
