Matthews & Peart Ltd is a family-run double glazing installation company with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and excellent customer service. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a friendly, organised, and reliable Receptionist / Administrator to join our team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy office environment, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.
The Role
As the first point of contact for our customers, you will play an important role in supporting both our office operations and installation teams. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while providing administrative support across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to customer enquiries.
- Welcoming visitors and customers to the office.
- Managing emails and correspondence.
- Scheduling appointments and coordinating installation diaries.
- Preparing quotations, letters, and other documentation.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and filing systems.
- Processing orders and supporting project administration.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, and installation teams.
- Ordering office supplies and assisting with general office management.
- Providing administrative support to directors and colleagues as required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a receptionist, administrator, or customer service role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident telephone manner and professional approach.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
- A positive, proactive, and team-focused attitude.
Desirable
- Experience within the construction, home improvement, glazing, or building industry.
- Experience scheduling appointments or managing diaries.
- Familiarity with CRM or office management software.
