We are a leading, fast-paced and ambitious aerodynamic engineering team competing at a high level of motorsport and growing in other areas. With a strong focus on innovation, precision, and performance, we design, develop, and manufacture competitive wind tunnel models and components in-house. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated Model Designer to join our design department.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a dynamic motorsport environment. Working closely with senior engineers, you will contribute to the design and development of race car components and assemblies, supporting projects from concept through to manufacture and wind tunnel support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and development of wind tunnel model and mechanical components and assemblies
- Produce 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings in CATIA
- Support design reviews and engineering discussions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of existing designs
- Provide occasional wind tunnel or event support (where required)
About You
- Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Motorsport Engineering, or related discipline
- Relevant work experience in a motorsport’s environment
- 3D CAD skills (CATIA preferred)
- Good understanding of mechanical design principles and materials
- Passion for motorsport and high-performance engineering
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
Desirable (but not essential)
- Basic understanding of FEA or simulation tools
- Experience working in a workshop or manufacturing environment
