Full job description

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Depot Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy depot. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for operational excellence to drive performance, efficiency, and team engagement, and shape a new, high performing team.

You will be responsible for overseeing depot activities, ensuring smooth logistics, maintaining high service standards, and managing a team to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily running of the depot, ensuring efficient and effective operations
Lead, motivate, and develop depot staff to achieve performance targets
Oversee stock control, inventory accuracy, and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
Coordinate logistics, deliveries, and distribution activities
Monitor KPIs and implement improvements to enhance productivity
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
Manage costs and operational reporting

About You

Proven experience in a depot, warehouse, or logistics management role
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements (ISO)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
IT literate, with experience using operational systems
