Job Overview

This position is working away and local work but most of our work is all across the uk staying away Monday - Friday

We are seeking a skilled and versatile <PERSON> and General Builder to join our construction team. This role involves a wide range of building, renovation, and maintenance tasks across various projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction trades, demonstrate excellent craftsmanship, and be capable of working independently or as part of a team. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, from residential refurbishments to commercial developments, ensuring high standards of safety and quality throughout. This is a paid position suitable for experienced professionals committed to delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities

Undertake fabrication and assembly tasks using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
Perform carpentry, joinery, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting as required.
Carry out heavy lifting and manual handling safely to support various building activities.
Assist with site preparation, including site clearance, groundwork, and organisation of materials.
Install structures and fixtures according to specifications and technical drawings.
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing structures or installations.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects efficiently and to high quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction or building trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing or electrical work.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment relevant to construction tasks.
Knowledge of fabrication, assembly processes, roofing techniques, and joinery methods.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when necessary (e.g., roofing).
Experience with construction painting, plastering, or finishing works is desirable.
Strong understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites.
Ability to interpret technical drawings or plans is advantageous.
Physical fitness to undertake demanding tasks over extended periods in various weather conditions.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are preferred but not essential.
